Top tips for finding your perfect watch
Posted on July 13th, 2018
Finding a watch that’s right for you can take some time. There are so many styles around with so many different features it’s hard to know where to spend your money. Here at Drakes, Plymouth we have put together a list of tips to help you along your way to finding your perfect watch.
What do you want it for?
Are you looking for a dress watch, something to wear every day or a watch for practical uses like work? This is one of the first things you need to establish before you begin looking. A dress watch is likely to be more expensive than something you will wear every day and a watch that you may wear for work could range in price depending on what features you want it to have.

Look into styles and must have features;
There is a huge variety of watch styles available and it is a good idea to look into what sort of thing you would like. Do you want a metal strap for practical reasons or a material strap? Interchangeable straps also are a big fashion trend at the moment and they are great if you like to switch up your look!
Must have features are another thing you should think about when it comes to buying your new watch. Does the watch need to be water resistant? Would you like to display the date?
There is so much to consider we think it is a really good idea to think about some of these questions before you search for a watch.

Research brands and read reviews;
Reading reviews on brands and watches you are interested in is another tip that Drakes would really recommend. This is a great idea as you will be able to get an insight into the pros and cons people have found with certain watches and brands and you can also see if a particular watch is suitable for the use you intend it to be used for.
